RAINBOW and RAINBOW MISS PURSE Restructure

Effective in 2018, the purses of the Rainbow and Rainbow Miss are being restructured
to allow each participant to receive part of the purse of each of those two
restricted stakes races. The $100,000 guaranteed purse will be reduced so as to
allow 1% to be paid to the seventh through last place finishers, with the remaining
purse paid out as follows: 60% to the owner of the winner, 20% to second,
10% to third, 5% to fourth, 3% to fifth and 2% to 6th.

Jon Court Puts Race Car Driver, A J Foyt, on Winning Track

Colonelsdarktemper. a 3-year-old thoroughbred colt ridden by 56-year-old jockey
Jon Court, a familiar Oaklawn rider, made 77 year old trainer, Jinks Fires, another
familiar Oaklawn connection who makes his home in Hot Springs, and 82
year old owner, A. J. Foyt, Jr., real happy Saturday, August 5th by winning the
$750,000 Grade 3 West Virginia Derby. Court took Colonelsdarktemper to the
lead of the 1-1/8 mile race at Mountaineer Racetrack and never looked back in
route to a 1-length victory.
