Here are some of the highlights from this issue…

As announced in the previous newsletter, purses of four of the 2021 restricted stakes will be $150,000 each with the fifth being $200,000.

The first issue of Oaklawn’s 2021 Condition Book is out and covers the first twelve days of the 57 day meet. Two restricted MSW races are listed with purses at $95,000 each and two allowance at $100,000 each. Purses of the ten restricted races listed in this condition book total $698,000. Hopefully, each of these races will fill and our Arkansas owners will reap the benefits offered to them in these first live race days of 2021.

With the pandemic still affecting so many, it remains to be seen if spectators will be able to watch live racing in 2021. Oaklawn’s management will be saddled with the task of making that decision, keeping the safety of employees, workers, patrons, owners and race goers of all types their number one priority.
