Here are some of the highlights from this issue…

The first month of the new year is quickly coming to a close. The casino expansion opened to the public January 23 with live racing the following day. Other improvements and updates are continuously being made. The seven story hotel is easily visible several blocks before you approach the Oaklawn area. The steel for the event center and entrances are introducing what is yet to be. When you enter the grandstands, many updates and improvements are visible, but look through the glass…6 new barns peak their roof tops along the backside of the track. It’s almost inconceivable what Oaklawn accomplished in 8 month. Sit back and watch, after live racing concludes there’s an additional 8 months of non-stop construction to come!
